I had the pleasure of mentoring Nick Vilardo this week in Strathroy. We worked on his on ice recovery from double hip surgery, serious concussions and off the ice business mentoring this bright young goalie coach.
Nick is 5’8” and has overcome every doubter along the way, every challenge like his injuries and the perceptions that short goalies can’t accomplish great things including playing pro. You won’t believe his on ice speed and crazy flexibility so soon after hip surgery. Can he beat Tommy in a breakaway challenge? Can he shut the GOAT up in the 3 puck game? You’ll find out in this video.
