Trekking here is strictly guided. You cannot do the Dudhsagar trek without an authorised guide, as it falls under protected forest regulations. Our trek included a guide, which made the experience safer and more organised.

In October 2025, me and my team completed this trek together. The journey took us through dense forests, long stretches of railway tracks, rocky paths, and water crossings, slow, tiring, and grounding in the best way.

The total trek distance was around 22–23 km (round trip) and it falls under an easy to moderate level trek. While it’s not technically difficult, the long walking hours and terrain make it physically demanding.

One of the most refreshing moments was when we bathed in the flowing waters in Dudhsagar. The cold water touching our head felt unreal for a moment, all tiredness and worries disappeared. It felt like everything paused, even our thoughts.

This trek reminded me that travel isn’t just about reaching a place.
It challenges us, shows us our strengths and weaknesses, and teaches us how important it is to have a good team walking beside us.
