Описание: Why Ancient Rituals Still Work Today?
Rituals often appear irrational to the logical mind—pouring milk on stones, burning ghee and flowers, throwing coins into rivers, or immersing idols in water. Yet, these ancient practices were never intended as transactions with a deity, but rather as tools for inner transformation. The essence of all rituals lies in bhāvana, the inner feeling or intention. When someone offers milk or flowers, the physical object is not the real offering; the true offering is the surrender of ego, fear, negativity, and inner impurities into the symbolic external fire. Rituals are technologies created by ancient minds to shift human consciousness, not to feed or bribe God.
Throwing a coin into a sacred river is not fundamentally about the coin. It is an act of remembrance, gratitude, and emotional offering. For a moment, the river becomes a mirror of the devotee’s inner devotion. The value lies not in the metal but in the purity of the emotion behind it.
Similarly, when divine presence is invoked into a stone through sacred processes, nothing physical changes in the stone. What transforms is the consciousness of the devotee. Bhāvana is what turns a lifeless object into a living embodiment of the divine. One’s entire experience of life—relationships, joy, peace, clarity—depends on the quality of their inner bhāvana.
Idol immersion reflects another profound truth. The divine energy installed in an idol is temporary; once the festival concludes, the invoked presence is respectfully withdrawn. The physical form is then returned to nature. Divinity itself remains ever-present—within the cosmos and within the devotee’s own heart.
Many approach worship as a business transaction, offering money, coconuts, or sweets in exchange for material benefits. But the external world can never fill inner emptiness. Rituals were never meant to extract blessings from God; they were meant to cleanse the mind and awaken deeper awareness. When rituals fail to change the person internally, they lose meaning. However, when approached with sincerity and a pure intention, even a single drop of water offered with love can bring about inner transformation. Rituals, when understood, reveal that true worship is not about changing God—it is about changing oneself. Inner fire, once kindled, dissolves all outer darkness.
