Voting begins in US midterm elections that will shape rest of Trump's presidency | BBC News

Описание: It's polling day in the US midterm elections - millions of Americans are voting to decide who will control Congress for the final two years of Donald Trump’s presidency.

All 435 seats in the House; 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate; and some state-level politicians, including governors, are up for election.

Trump's Republican Party controls the two chambers of Congress - Democrats are hoping to flip enough seats to win a majority in both.

If they control Congress, Democrats would be better placed to block Trump's plans, and could also launch investigations into the president and his team.
