서로 다른 세대의 작가들이 현재와 가까운 미래에 대해 대화를 나누며 예술적 통찰을 공유하는 ‘나우 & 넥스트’는 한국 예술계를 이끄는 기성세대와 차세대 간의 소통을 조명하는 영상 시리즈이다. 김민정과 김성윤은 생폴 드 방스에서 만나 물질의 본질, 각자의 작업 방식, 그리고 창작의 동기부여 등 이야기를 나눴다.

김민정은 현재 유럽에서 가장 권위 있는 현대미술 재단 중 한 곳인 매그 재단에서 개인전 《Mountain》을 2025년 2월 9일까지 선보이고 있다.

Minjung Kim and Kim Sung Yoon were selected as one of the established artists and emerging artists to be part of the 2024 edition of the “NOW & NEXT” series. Presented by Frieze with the support of CHANEL, the video featuring two artists’ conversation was released in September 2024 across CHANEL’s social media networks, Frieze’s website, and its social media channels.

The “NOW & NEXT” is a video series that highlights intergenerational dialogues between artists, encouraging creative insights and exchanges about the present and near future. In this particular episode, Minjung Kim and Kim Sung Yoon met in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France to discuss the essence of materiality, their creative processes, and sources of motivation.
Meanwhile, Minjung Kim is currently presenting her solo exhibition 𝘔𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 at the Fondation Maeght, one of the most prestigious contemporary art foundations in Europe, until February 9, 2025.
