Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour" took the U.S. by storm, and now, for the first time in Europe, a university is offering a new course dedicated to the literary merit of Swift's music and lyrics.
Belgium's Ghent University says the purpose is to think critically about Swift as an artist and writer, and to use her music to explore other topics such as literary feminism, fan studies and tropes like the anti-hero.
In the U.S., universities like Stanford, the Berklee College of Music, Arizona State and others are already teaching classes on Swift's music.
Ghent University Assistant Professor Elly McCausland joined CNN's Laila Harrak for a lesson in 'Swifterature.'
