State of the City 2026
It’s been a remarkable start to 2026 for the City of St. George. The Northern Corridor right-of-way has been restored. The final federal hurdles for the Graveyard Wash Reservoir and the George Washington Boulevard Extension have been cleared. And in late January, St. George earned national recognition as the No. 1 Best Performing City from the Milken Institute.
Mayor Jimmie Hughes will highlight these milestones — and share what’s next — during State of the City 2026: Answering the Call on Tuesday, February 17, at 3 p.m. in the Dixie Convention Center’s Garden Room. Admission is free, and light refreshments will be available. The event will also be streamed live on the City of St. George’s YouTube and Facebook pages.
Mayor Hughes and his team will discuss the City of St. George’s accomplishments in 2025 and preview projects for 2026, broken down into the following discussion points:
