So this is my last video for a while (except if I make another one today.)
I'll be taking a break from Youtube starting today.

I highly oppose YT asking adults for their personal information (IDs, credit cards, and even pictures) as it will only allow them to more efficiently track adults and their preferences in the future.
They say it's for the protection of the children, but as usual with these kinds of rules and laws, it's the innocent that are punished without cause.

A child that only watches adult videos won't be tagged as a minor, while an adult that watch content usually aimed at children will have to prove they are not one...
So pretty much exactly the inverse result of what the claim their goal is.

For those who don't know, Youtube is owned by Google, which is a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. They also own most of the internet advertisement through AdSense.
You should never give personal information to anyone on the internet, especially not megacorporations that can sell it, use it to give you targeted advertisement, and be hacked, leading to identity theft.

And even if you trust YT with your information, never forget that things may change over time:
The people at YT could be replaced and their goal could change for things you would not agree with.
The government could decide that the company needs to give this information for security reason or some other bs. Even if you trust the current government, refer to the previous point to know why this could turn sour.

This is a Pandora's box which will be very hard to seal once it is opened.

Not sure how long my break will be, and it will most likely not be good for my channel but I try to do my part, as small as it may be.
