The spring water here filters through the Peak District’s limestone hills, taking around 5,000 years to emerge at a constant temperature of about 27°C (81°F).
St Ann’s Spring has been a local landmark for centuries and is one of the reasons Buxton became known as a spa town. Many people visit to see the spring and taste the naturally filtered water straight from its source.
