A compilation of the interval slides used by ITV Schools in Spring 1987. The slides that term were full-screen captions, harking back to earlier years, and contained brief quotes from famous poetry. They are presented here in the order they were used on air .
There are twelve slides altogether - for some reason, during week 10 (of 11), two different slides were used. The 'Wiliam Shakespeare - Daisies' slide was only used during the Monday and part of the Tuesday, before switching to the 'Summer is y-cumen in' slide, and a slide with no poetry caption was used during the final week. Perhaps the Shakespeare slide was damaged, or couldn't be used for some other reason, so they switched mid-week to the slide they had intended to use the following week (thus having to use a spare or quickly-constructed slide during the final week).
Craftwork by Johnny Patrick and Timeless by James Aldenham (aka Brian Bennett) accompany the film and were used throughout this term.
All slides are from my own footage, apart from the aforementioned Shakespeare slide which was provided by Simon Luxton.
