This trip is apart of a two week coastal trip to South Australia covering 2,675kms to stay a lake, beach camps and visiting caves, wineries.
Our first place we stayed at was a free camp called Cockatoo Lake. They do take donations which I recommend you should do as you don't often get a flushing toilet and non drinking water at a free camp. We gave $5 per night in an envelope in the donation box by the jetty.
NOTE: South Australia has a open fire ban from 22nd November to 30 April each year. Some places will accept heat beads in a BBQ or fire pit to cook with but no wood fires.
We use WikiCamps to find our camp stops.
