There are 3 types of school exclusion: Permanent, Fixed term, and Lunchtime. Different rules apply to each. We also introduce the concept of an unlawful exclusion in this video. Click on the timings below to learn about a particular kind of exclusion, or watch all the way through for an overview:

It does not apply to independent schools or colleges, which have their own policies. Please also note these rules will only to apply to sixth forms that form part of a secondary school, not sixth form colleges.
