Birth is such a beautiful, excruciating, and euphoric experience. It is so normal and in this world where people see things so differently, it’s so important to stay grounded. Life is beautiful. Bringing life into the world is beautiful.
Mamas I urge you to always advocate for yourself no matter what. This was my hardest birth experience, and I had to advocate for myself through it. It’s not about fighting medical professionals, but about staying true to what you need and what you want.
And finally, as I watch the video, I’m counting my blessings for the partner that I have. Who advocates and fights for me. Who provides counter pressure when my body feels like it’s ripping itself apart. Who makes sure I’m not overheating. Who is there whether I decide to go unmedicated or not, supporting my every decision.
