At the JCB press launch, Peter Haddock took a closer look at the new 145XR excavator just after it had been officially launched.
In this video he highlights some of the key features of the machine and shows how easy it is to get inside the cab, which now boasts the JCB UX interface previously launched on the 370.
Here are some of the key features highlighted:
The Power - JCB Dieselmax 448 - 4.8 litre engine delivering 81kW or 109hp
Torque 516Nm - Working speed reduced to 1700rpm down by 10%, which delivers a fuel saving of around £2000 per year
The Boom - Monoboom or Triple Articulated Boom - choice of 2.5, 2.7 or 3m dipper arms
The Hydraulics - Latest generation Kawasaki pumps with increased hose diameter deliver smooth hydraulics - 2000hr hydraulic filter change intervals
The compact radius - 27% shorter tail swing than 140X but with the same cab size
The Cab - Command plus cab 1 metre wide
The machine can also be ordered with factory fitted @leicageosystemsag 3D machine control.
