Imagine walking smelling plastic burning and how toxic that can be, that is what greeted me when I checked on my snakes after my Govee thermohydrometer and Microclimate EVO III connected sent me an alert that something wasn't right. Certainly making me rethink the heat source in some of my vivs. I am treating this as a warning to myself.
Whether or not changing the plug (you need to cut it to fit in most vivs, which in turn invalidates the warranty) was part of the cause, albeit after a good 18 months of use, is to be seen. Personally I am not taking the risk so expect a few of these to be made available soon.
