2.6 million babies worldwide are stillborn each year. The majority of these deaths are preventable.
In 2016, prestigious Elsevier journal The Lancet partnered with London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and others on a series of five papers aimed at ending preventable stillbirths. This offered a roadmap for eliminating, by 2030, one the most neglected tragedies in global health today.
