Day one on the trail was equal parts exhilarating and exhausting. The conditions were really dry, so we had a long water carry with zero opportunities to refill except for at The Clark Farm. We ended the day with a really uneasy experience: someone kept driving past our campsite, scoping it out. If we weren't out in the middle of nowhere, this wouldn't be an issue, but we WERE in the middle of nowhere, so it made it eerie. We made through the night, and continued on our hike into Morehead.
