Welcome back, Prospectors! From Today we’re heading into the STYX Expansion, one of the largest and most ambitious updates ever released for ICARUS. This expansion completely changes how you explore, survive, and conquer the planet.

🗺️ STYX introduces a massive new 64 km² open-world map, effectively doubling the playable area of ICARUS. The map is built around a sprawling river delta that cuts through multiple biomes, creating natural pathways, choke points, and hidden routes that reward exploration and smart planning.

🌲 From dense forests and arid deserts to frozen arctic regions and towering cliffs, Styx challenges you to adapt your survival strategies like never before. Weather is brutal, resources are spread out, and the wildlife is far more dangerous.

🐊 New creatures roam Styx, including aggressive Crocodiles, deadly Komodo Dragons, and clever Kea birds that will actively steal items if you’re not careful. Every encounter feels unpredictable and dangerous.

🎯 The expansion features 23+ new missions, including Open World Operations that allow you to complete objectives without leaving your persistent world. Many missions permanently change the map, unlocking shortcuts, bridges, and new traversal options that make future expeditions easier — if you survive long enough.
