After 25 years of catching stickleback, I have a few things to say about how to go about trapping fish in an effective and efficient way that is good for the people, the fish, and the traps.
This video is intended for folks who haven't done much trapping already - but there might be a few useful nuggets of wisdom (pro tips if you will) for folks with some experience already.
NOTE: GPS of trap locations is also beneficial, and sometimes required by permitting agencies. However, the scale at which traps get lost is sometimes smaller than the scale at which GPS is practical - and so the use of GPS for trap locations does not replace the other suggestions made in this video.
