As a follow-up on our previous video on Abeking & Rasmussen’s 257'3''/78.4m Superyacht AMARYLLIS, we are this time taking a step back and showing her first approach to St. Maarten for the Caribbean winter season 2023/24.

The moment the yacht showed up on the horizon approaching from the direction of the Virgin Islands it was obvious something big was coming towards us.

In this video, we have the chance to take a good look at the elegant design lines of French/British design duo Pascale Reymond and her partner Andrew Langton. Their work combined with the strong manufacturing quality of German yacht builders Abeking & Rasmussen.

But primarily we also see the excellent teamwork of the yacht’s master and his crew during this challenging passage of the Simpson Bay bridge in St. Maarten.

It is the master of a yacht or commercial vessel who bears the ultimate responsibility for the safety of the maritime asset (in this particular case nearly US$ 100 mill) and the well-being of his crew on behalf of the owners.

In this case, we can observe the excellent collaboration of the crew placing and working the six-foot fenders and the highly skilled master positioning the yacht towards the entrance of the lagoon.
If you look carefully, you can see the sensitive operation of the vessel’s bow thruster or the reflections of the wonderful deep blue hull with her twin white stripes just above the waterline.
What a treat to be able to witness such an impressive and at the same time gentle approach of a 2,108 gross tons Superyacht.

AMARYLLIS is available for charter in the Caribbean. Starting from US$ 875,000 base per week at high season during winter time. However, the yacht is also listed for sale at an official asking price of EUR 89.9 mill (11/2023).
