On February 28, 2026, Calgary woke up to 10–15 cm (4–6 inches) of fresh snowfall, transforming the city into a beautiful winter landscape. In this video, I clear my backyard deck before launching a drone flight over snow-covered Calgary to capture the stunning contrast between bright blue skies and Alberta’s fresh powder.
This was classic dry Calgary snow — light, fluffy, and easy to shovel compared to heavy wet snow. After clearing the porch using a shovel, leaf blower, and broom, I send the drone up for peaceful aerial footage of the neighborhood blanketed in white.
