After what felt like endless troubleshooting, our Subaru WRX finally accepted the flex fuel tune we’ve been trying to get working. This was supposed to be a big step forward in our long-term goal of pushing this setup toward the 500 horsepower range.
In this video, we head back to the dyno to see how the car responds now that the flex fuel tuning is cooperating. The numbers start to come together, the car finally feels like it’s moving in the right direction… and then reality checks in. As soon as we started leaning on the setup, another weak point made itself known, cutting the session short and reminding us that building power is never just about tuning.
This series may have gone quiet for a bit, but the goal hasn’t changed. The WRX is still on the path toward more power — it’s just going to take a few more steps (and a few more fixes) to get there.
