Jim and Jill Kelly are grateful for the prayers and support they have received, even as they walk through an incredibly painful season.

They admit to feeling emotionally, physically, and spiritually exhausted—especially after a difficult night in which their grandson, “Little Bean,” had to be put back on medication.

Despite their heartbreak and struggle to understand why God hasn’t healed him yet, they affirm their faith:

God is still sovereign, faithful, and good.

Even in silence and suffering, they choose to trust Jesus—not just in answered prayers, but in the waiting.

They ask for continued prayers, stating that those who have stuck with them through this feel like family.

"We’re so thankful for tears…
because lately, it feels like that’s all we’ve got left.

Most days, it feels like our prayers just hit the walls and fall to the floor.
And we honestly can’t imagine how hard it must be for you to stay on this journey with us…to read what we share, to carry even a piece of this with us.

But thank you.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for praying when we can’t.
Thank you for holding onto hope when ours feels sometimes nonexistent.

When we say we’re thankful, we mean it.
We wish we could hug you.
When we say we love you, we mean it, because anyone who would stay with us through something this heartbreaking feels like family now.

That being said…
Last night didn’t go so well. 😔
Little Bean is back on the medication.

We are completely spent, spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally.
We have no words.
We don’t know how we’re going to keep going.

Sorry for being this raw.
But we don’t understand how God can see this…really see it…and not move.
How He can watch this suffering and still wait. 💔
The truth is… knowing He could speak one word and heal our grandson, but hasn’t yet…that’s the hardest part.

And still…

God.

God is God!
He’s not going to stop being sovereign or faithful just because we don’t see it right now… or feel it the way we wish we could.

He loves Little Bean even more than we do. And He gave us our precious, amazing grandson to love and stare at all day.
And that’s why…even through the deep ache, even through the questions, we still trust Him.

Because Jesus is worthy of our trust.
Not just when prayers are answered.
Not just when healing comes.
But even here, in the silence, in the waiting, in the heartbreak.

He is faithful.
He is good.
He is God.
And we are able to continue to keep going because He is who He says He is.

And that will always be enough.

Please, keep praying.
We need it.
