Dhaka South City Corporation has taken a new initiative to restore the condition of the park due to careless neglect. The park, which was full of chattering people, has returned to a clean and tidy park. Locals are breathing a sigh of relief. You have to buy a ticket for 10 rupees to enter the park. It is known that the park was named Gulistan after Motiur, who was killed in the anti-Ayub Khan movement in 1969. নতুন রূপে ফিরেছে গুলিস্তান শহীদ মতিউর পার্ক। রাজধানীর প্রাণকেন্দ্রে অবস্থানের কারণে গুলিস্তান পার্ক গুলিস্তান পার্ক নামে পরিচিত। অযত্নে অবহেলায় পার্কের বেহাল দশা ফেরাতে নতুন উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে ঢাকা দক্ষিণ সিটি করপোরেশন। আড্ডাবাজিতে ভরপুর পার্কটি আবার পরিচ্ছন্ন পরিপাটি হয়ে ফিরে এসেছে। এলাকাবাসী স্বস্তির নিঃশ্বাস ফেলছে। পার্কে ঢোকার জন্য 10 টাকায় টিকিট কিনতে হবে। দর্শনার্থীরা তিন পাশের যে কোনো গেট দিয়ে টিকিট কেটে পার্কে প্রবেশ করছেন।
