Severe Vertigo, Daily Migraines & Anxiety — 70% Better After TMJ Treatment

Amanda is in her 30’s who suffered with jaw popping for over 10 years. She had sustained multiple sports injuries to the jaw. She was doing OK until the jaw locked up and had severe pain for several weeks. She was in constant jaw pain and could not open her mouth more than an inch. Her dentist referred her to Dr Raman since the muscle relaxers were not resolving the jaw lock.
Amanda initially saw Dr Raman for her unrelenting jaw pain and jaw lock to see if he can diagnose the cause and help. Amanda went through detailed diagnostic tests including our unique "Raman CCMD Protocol" of Physiologic Neuro Muscular Dental (PNMD) procedure to determine the optimal jaw and neck alignment. Prior to starting phase 1 treatment, she was informed of her severely crowded upper jaw which limits the function of the lower jaw. Even though phase 1 fixed orthotic is only on the lower teeth, like teeth extensions to make up for the jaw alignment discrepancy, there needs to enough of an improvement of symptoms to give the patient confidence to go forward with treatment or to give up and reverse course.
Within weeks of Phase 1 PNM Fixed orthotic, her jaw symptoms were improving significantly. However, her severe vertigo, headaches and anxiety did not show much improvement.
By end of phase 1 orthotic treatment, Amanda reported 50% improvement of jaw pain and 80% improvement of jaw locks. She did not even know that her years long vertigo or lifetime of migraines and anxiety could even be related to her jaw position. Amanda made the decision to do Neuromuscular Functional Orthodontics / Orthopedics as her phase 2 option. By correcting the upper arch, there will be more room created for the lower jaw and tongue which affects airway. That in turn affects quality of sleep and neck posture during the day.

She said that it was like a light switch was turned on. Jaw pain improved 80%. Vertigo improved 70%. Her lifetime of migraines and headaches improved 70%. Since she was 10 years old, she had never had a day that she did not need some medication for her headaches. But she went without needing any medication for 11 days in a row. Her anxiety also improved 70% and did not have a single panic attack in a month. Her overall energy level improved 200% percent. Tyler said that Amanda’s energy level went through the roof!
