11. A Beautiful Forest Hike. Kalopa Native Forest Trail - The most divers forest hike I've ever done

Описание: This is part eleven of hiking Kalopa Native Forest Trail on the Big Island of Hawai'i and it is by far the most diverse forest I have ever hiked. Most of the trees, especially the last 2/3s, I have never seen before. They are considered to have been on the island prior to the Polynesians saddling there.
The birdsong is breathtaking and the scenery is incredible!
Bring and adequate amount of water and rain gear. Speaking of rain, make sure to check the radar before your hike as the rain can make the trail muddy and slippery.
When done with the hike, make sure to stop at Tex Drive In to enjoy warm and delicious freshly made malasada.
It was a long hike, so I am posting it in 10 minutes segments.
