Often overshadowed by a larger and more famous canyon to the north, Caprock Canyons is perhaps the better area to explore on foot. You may not be impressed when you first drive into the park. However, as you continue deep into this rugged wilderness the scenery becomes more dramatic. Exploring on foot in the northwestern portion of the park, the cliffs get higher and the canyons get deeper, as hidden treasures come into view. I really enjoyed this hike from start to finish.
