When I first saw this house, one of the features that felt too good to be true was the huge pantry that is right through this door. This is a photo of the space from the realtor’s listing. We were told that this room used to function as the kitchen, but when they converted part of the el on the back of the house into a new kitchen, this space became a classic butler’s pantry, connecting the kitchen to the dining room. We moved all of our things in and started using the space right away. Eighteen months later, I finally started to work on improving it. I found wood buried under linoleum on the floor and the countertop, and love this room now even more than I knew I could.
