In this video, we help you understand the differences between soccer cleats and turf shoes and when it's best to use one or the other. In the winter months here in the United States, many players will need to play indoors and a lot of facilities may request or advise players to wear turf shoes.

Turf shoes are best used when playing on surfaces like carpet astroturf or whenever the turf does not have pellets for cleats to dig into. On such surfaces, turf shoes will provide the best traction, support, and control which will be safer and better for your performance.
Turf shoes may also be worn on artificial grass, but in most cases, cleats will perform better here.
We recommend not wearing turf shoes on surfaces like pavement, basketball courts, or tile floors as the traction from the rubber nubs may get caught on the floor and could lead to injuries. In these spaces, use indoor or futsal shoes
