drum jam - Ghost - Crucified (vintage 28" bass drum kit)

Описание: It's Ghost, everyone! Or even Ghost B.C. if you live in the US.
This band is one of my lasting discoveries of the last couple of years. It's straight forward but well executed musical aesthetics simply appeal to me and as of this, Ghost is one of my recently favourite bands to listen and jam along to. (Hence, there is two more videos in the pipeline.)
Crucified is a cover of an old 90's euro dance track by the group Army of Lovers. (Check out their trippy video clip for the original song, aswell, if you get the chance. It's bonkers.)

The drumming in this - as typical for this band/type of music - is quite straight forward, but it's got its own little tricky parts that aren't quite easy to nail - the bridge part and the ending fill, for example.
So, respect to the drummer, because he does an absolute hell of a job playing straight forward hard rock without denying his extreme metal background, which can clearly be discovered in his playing.

Gear wise, you've got the old 28" kick alongside the 'matching' 16" floor tom. The snare is a heavily modified GDR-made 6.5"x14" steel snare by a company called Tacton.
I put an internal support 'skeleton' in there to make the rather flimsy shell withstand the forces of the moderately tight drumheads. Without that, the shell would just give in more and more, the higher the tuning would get.
