450 hp Prodrive P25 Restomod, the Ultimate Subaru Impreza 22B, Engine Sound, Details & Action at FOS

Описание: Can we define the Prodrive P25 Restomod as the definitive version of the Subaru Impreza 22B model? Personally, yes. With this video, we jump forward to 2022, when the English company presented the prototype of what would eventually become an exclusive car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Only 25 units were produced, costing £552,000 (approximately €642,746), including VAT. As many of you know, the original 22B, already very rare and sought-after by enthusiasts, was built in 424 units. Twenty-five years later, the company wanted to reimagine the car, imagining how it would look today with current technology, and here it is in Restomod guise. Most of the vehicle, including the chassis, has been redesigned, but fortunately, its stunning lines have remained intact, although the exterior panels are now 75% carbon fibre. Under the hood is the 2.5-litre Subaru EJ25 flat-four boxer engine, reworked by Prodrive with forged pistons, new cylinder liners, a large Garrett turbocharger, high-flow injectors, and an air-to-water intercooler. Thanks in part to an Akrapovič exhaust system, the engine develops 450 hp and 600 Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox capable of shifting in just 80 milliseconds. Thanks to a weight of approximately 1,200 kg and WRC-derived launch control and anti-turbo-lag systems, the P25 can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. The car's braking system is AP Racing, featuring 380 mm ventilated discs with six-piston calipers at the front and 350 mm solid discs with four-piston calipers at the rear. The 19-inch alloy wheels are shod with Bridgestone Potenza tyres.

Con questo video facciamo un salto al 2022, quando l'azienda inglese presentò al Goodwood Festival of Speed il prototipo di quella che nel tempo sarebbe diventata un'auto esclusiva, prodotta in sole 25 unità e dal costo di 552.000 sterline (circa 642.746 euro), Iva inclusa. Come molti di voi sanno, l'originale 22B, già di per sé molto rara e ricercata dagli appassionati, fu realizzata in 424 esemplari. A distanza di 25 anni, l'azienda ha voluto ripensare la vettura, immaginandola come sarebbe diventata al giorno d'oggi con la tecnologia attuale, ed eccola qui in veste di Restomod. La maggior parte della vettura, telaio compreso, è stata riprogettata, ma fortunatamente non è stata toccata la splendida linea, anche se i pannelli esterni ora sono al 75% in carbonio. Sotto il cofano, troviamo il motore boxer Subaru EJ25 flat-four da 2,5 litri rivisto da Prodrive con pistoni forgiati, nuove canne dei cilindri, un turbocompressore Garrett di grandi dimensioni, iniettori ad alto flusso ed un intercooler aria-acqua. Grazie anche all'impianto di scarico Akrapovič, il motore sviluppa 450 cv e 600 Nm di coppia massima ed è mosso dal cambio sequenziale a sei rapporti in grado di cambiare marcia in soli 80 millisecondi. La P25, grazie ad un peso di circa 1200 kg ed ai sistemi di launch-control e anti-turbo-lag di derivazione WRC, riesce a passare da 0 a 100 km/h in soli 3,5 secondi. Per frenare l'auto ci pensa un impianto AP Racing con dischi ventilati da 380 mm, con pinze a sei pistoncini all'anteriore, e a dischi pieni da 350 mm, con pinze a quattro pistoncini al posteriore. I cerchi in lega sono da 19 pollici, con pneumatici Bridgestone Potenza.
