Mitsi Studio ‪@mitsistudio‬ tells the story of Michael Wittmann (1914–1944), who was a highly decorated German Waffen-SS tank commander and "Panzer ace" during World War II, renowned for his tactical lethality and extensive use in Nazi propaganda. Rising to prominence on the Eastern Front, he achieved his most famous exploit during the Battle of Villers-Bocage in Normandy on June 13, 1944, where he single-handedly ambushed a British armored column, destroying over a dozen tanks and numerous other vehicles in a Tiger I. Despite his celebrated status within the German military, Wittmann was killed in action on August 8, 1944, during Operation Totalize when his tank was destroyed by Allied fire near Cintheaux, France, ending the career of one of history's most formidable yet controversial tank commanders. Mr. Terry learns, laughs, and teaches along the way!
