AMAZING RESTORATION of Vintage Cedar Chest- Relaxing Furniture Restoration Video

Описание: I purchased this cedar chest from Facebook Marketplace. The seller said it had been stored at her parents farm for over 20 years. It was a mess! And it smelled pretty bad! The finish on the top was pretty much destroyed. The chest sat in water at one point and the particle board between the veneer on the base became swollen and started to flake off. This chest presented quite a few problems that I had to deal with if I was to restore it to it's previous state.

Apparently, the prior owner had no key so they forced it open and tore the lock from the wood. (Did they find a treasure inside?) Of course, I did not realize this until I got it back to my shop and realized the lock was useless and I had not key! I realized that I unless I could find a key and repair the damage done by their action, the value of the piece would be dramatically reduced.

I used Odie's oil as a sealer on this chest. I think it really enhanced the beauty of the pecan wood. Watch the video to see how I was able to restore this little chest and resolve the lock issue so I am now able to sell it for a nice profit.
