There have been multiple instances where several state governments including Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Puducherry, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka have been toppled by deploying the same strategy. The opposition parties have termed it as an assault against democracy and have accused the BJP of subverting people’s mandate.
