Jón Gunnar was seeking the ultimate all-terrain wheelchair to navigate the rugged and beautiful Icelandic landscape. Jón Gunnar loves to go fishing and hunting. After he became spinal cord injured, he had no viable solution or way of getting to the places he wanted to go to enjoy these hobbies anymore. He also wanted to go with his family for casual walks or to visit those magical Icelandic places with geysers and volcanoes.
Jón Gunnar used to run a travel agency called Icelandic Adventures, so he possesses a lot of knowledge about tourism and accessible travel as well. Last year, he sold this business and decided to do something else. He discovered the Exoquad on social media, and immediately he realised that this mobility vehicle is the solution he'd been looking for.
He decided to become a dealer for Iceland. After only a few months of operation, he has enjoyed huge success as an Exoquad dealer in Iceland. This is Jón Gunnar's story about how he created a brand new company and workplace for himself. As a disabled entrepreneur, he faces certain extra challenges in light of his mobility impairment.
