Today, I'll be treating my lovely Gibson ES-330 to some new pots. But that leaves us with a problem...how on earth do you rewire a thinline?? It's widely regarded by top guitar techs as being one of the biggest pains in the ass when working on guitars, it's something that nobody really looks forward to doing.
But here are some of my tips for making the job easier...from disassembling the instrument with some degree of order; protecting the finish whist doing the job; getting the jack plug pulled back through the guitar; and working out which pot needs to go where when you can only see the very top of them.
I'm certainly not a pro - but I hope this video helps you to rewire your thinline!
