Metro Vs Sydney Trains, Arrive the same time? Central to North Sydney

Today I decided to see how much faster Sydney Metro was then Sydney trains, So I got on the older legacy double-decker train at (Central) to (North Sydney) via the Sydney harbour Bridge, then returned using the Metro from (Victoria Cross North Sydney) to (Central) via the under water tunnel.
Just to clarify time differences,
Sydney trains sometimes tend to sit at north Sydney for a couple minutes before leaving, that was definitely the case for my train, so I was counting arrival NOT Departure time.
And Sydney Metro currently sits at their stations for around 90 seconds allowing people to get used to the new city platforms.
In the future Sydney Metro will indeed become faster as the doors will close much sooner.
But as shown in the video both trains roughly arrive at the same time, 11 minutes. Were you shocked by this? let me know down in the comments below
