The Comfort Hotel Umeå City has been built on top of a car park that dates at least back to the mid 1970s. Parts of the original structure can still be seen at the outside fascade. The hotel added two new elevators that outright skip the car park floors 1-3, instead go from the lobby straight to floor 4 (called "G" for garage as the car park top floor is hotel guests only), 5 and 6. These elevators require a keycard to be called in the lobby and said floor G. There are no service elevators here.
