NO. The aircraft you see here is NOT just another fanciful idea that someone once dreamed up. The Sonic Cruiser is something that Boeing worked on extensively, registering patents to its design AND presented it to its airline customers, many of whom took it VERY seriously.

And even though it wasn’t built, many of the technologies that would have made it possible and even much of the concept behind it, eventually led to the creation of an actual Boeing aircraft.
