Which firefighting foams are banned?

Описание: Confused by the restriction of PFOA in firefighting foam?
In this video I am explaining which firefighting foams are allowed and which are banned. I will consider limit values of PFAS (such as PFOA and PFOS) in firefighting foams. The focus is on the EU but they might also be applicable to other countries.

Clarification on which countries are affected by the PFOA restriction:

This PFOA restriction comes from the Stockholm Convention. And also the specific exemption for fire-fighting foam is part of this restriction. So basically the regulation and the specific exemptions that I explain in this video are relevant for all countries that are parties to the Stockholm Convention. Most countries of the world are. EU specific is the limit value of 25ppb for PFOA and 1ppm for PFOA-related compounds or a combination of PFOA-related compounds.

The decision of the Stockholm Convention just talks about “fire-fighting foam that contains or may contain PFOA, its salts and PFOA-related compounds” and does not mention limit values.

Is anyone aware of a country that is party to the Stockholm Convention but where this regulation does not apply? Please write it in the comments.

Foam types: AFFF, FFFP and FP
Obviously all PFAS-based fire-fighting foams are affected by the environmental issues. Besides AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) also FP (Fluoroprotein Foam) and FFFP (Film Forming Fluoroprotein Foam). But AFFF is the most wide-spread and most known type of fluorinated foam. For this reason I often use "AFFF", when I mean all PFAS-based foams.
