Hansja Sharma, a 27-year-old from Jammu, is the first woman combat pilot of the Indian Army. Commissioned in 2020, she initially served as an Air Traffic Controller before volunteering for flying training. She earned her wings in 2023, was posted to 205 Army Aviation Squadron, and after completing around 150 flying hours, qualified on the armed ALH Rudra helicopter, marking a historic milestone in Indian Army aviation.
