Finnish Army to acquire 25 domestically made Sisu GTP 4X4

This vehicle is versatile and well protected. In addition, it is easy to use and control in urban and off-road terrain .

The Sisu GTP is a multi-purpose armored vehicle designed and manufactured by the Finnish company Sisu Auto Ab.

The development is based on the Mercedes Benz Unimog medium truck chassis with an independent suspension system and differential locks on each wheel.

Sisu GTP adopts a modular design, allowing it to be developed in many variants for different operational uses.

The base platform is available for a crew of five and 10.

The first production version of the vehicle was launched in 2019 and in June 2020. The Finnish Armed Forces ordered six vehicles for testing.

For specifications, the vehicle has a weight range of 14-15 tons. It is 6.00 m long, 2.50 m wide and 2.55 m high.

The Sisu GTP is powered by a 308 hp OM926 diesel engine.

The vehicle can go up to a maximum of 110 km/hour with a maximum cruising range of 700 km.
