Pavones is a small town on the Gulfo Dulce about an hour drive from Golfito. It is directly across the bay from the Osa Peninsula which features some of the best surfing in southern Costa Rica including playa matapalo, pan dulce, backwash bay and Carate. There are numerous other surf spots within a 20 minute drive of pavones including pilon, zacundo, punto banco, Saleas, Amarillas, Las Gemelas and El Higo.
We made this drone footage along with many others in the towns of tamarindo, mal pais, Jaco, Esterillos, Manuel Antonio, Quepos, Dominical, Uvita, Cabo Matapalo, Playa Hermosa and Carate. You can see the rest of the drone footage from our vacation on this channel. Coronavirus
