University of Toronto researchers are gaining new insight into driver safety with DriverLab — the only simulator of its kind in Canada.
DriverLab offers a safe way to study human variables in realistic traffic and weather conditions. In addition to providing new information about the effects of aging, fatigue and medication on driving, DriverLab will also help scientists learn about the ways people interact with driverless cars.
It’s housed in the iDAPT Centre for Rehabilitation Research’s Challenging Environment Assessment Labs (CEAL) in the basement of Toronto Rehabilitation Institute.
