An InSoFast Passive House Project: The Amalia House

Описание: Meet Dave McGann, a PHIUS certified contractor that has his own business in the construction industry previously building high end stores. Wanting a more spiritual fulfillment when it came to building, he decided to look into Passive Housing with his boss at the time. He ended up taking on a passion project transforming one of his houses, The Amalia House, to a net zero house. Located in Tucson, Arizona where the average temperature in the summer months is well over 105ºF, Dave wanted this house, that is located in a low income neighborhood, to be self sustainable in hopes to assist the necessary change in the housing market.

Important Notes:
1:05 - Loctite® PL Premium Construction Adhesive (https://www.loctiteproducts.com/en/pr... )
1:24 - Back cutting grooves our panels. This is not standard practice, however in this case, it does not affect the panels whatsoever/
1:53 - Not adding spray foam to back-cut groove. Again, this is a personal preference to his project. If spray foam were to be added to the groove, it would not dam up the drainage channels.
