Deep frying a 20lb turkey in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. Propane gas grill and pot with a basket and hook for removing the turkey. Served with fries cooked in deep fryer oil. Stuffing and carrots covered in mushroom gravy.
How-to and Tips:
1. Thaw turkey completely
2. Use Canola or Veg. Oil
3. Oil should be 350°F
4. Lower turkey slowly into hot oil
5. Cook 3.5 min/lb. or until 180°F internal temp.
6. Allow turkey to rest 15 min.
7. Bring oil back to 350°F
8. Cook Fries 5-10 min. or until golden brown
*Use heat-resistant gloves
