The pound has plummeted to its lowest level since 1985,... with the British currency now at one-dollar thirty-three cents.
Earlier, when "Remain" was looking more likely according to early poll projections,... the pound hit one-dollar fifty-cents, a new high for the year, but just six hours later it had dropped more than ten-percent.
And it goes without saying the decision is affecting currencies all across the globe.
The euro has fallen below one-dollar ten cents, while the Japanese yen has jumped past 100 to the dollar.
The "Leave" vote is also sending shockwaves through European markets, as most analysts say investors had expected Britain to remain in the EU.
