Phoenix Hen is a German Breed created by a German Breeder around 1900s, the breed was developed by crossing the long tailed Japanese birds with other breeds such as Yokohama, Leghorn and Old English Game etc. Phoenix hen is a bantam sized bird but with long tail, as mentioned earlier they are derived from long tail Japanese birds, Japanese birds were from Onagadori so technically Phoenix are from Onagadori. Their tail can grow from 2 to 5 feet in length. They came in different Colors and the most common is silver phoenix and their price range is currently from 12,000 PKR to 15000 PKR for adult pair. Since they are from Onagadori hen they molt very less i.e once in two years.
