Day 61: Prayer To Put On The Whole Armor Of God | Full Armor Of God Prayer
As we step into this day, we prepare ourselves spiritually by putting on the full armor of God. We are not ignorant of the enemy's tactics, and we recognize that each day is a battle for our faith, peace, and victory. Yet, we stand firm in the authority given to us as believers, clothed in the protection that God has provided through His Word. Today, we decree that we are equipped, empowered, and ready to face whatever may come, knowing that we are covered by the armor of God.
Ephesians 6 verses 10 to 11 declare, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes." Lord, we step into this day with strength, not in our own abilities, but in the power of Your might. We put on the full armor of God, prepared to stand firm against every scheme of the enemy. We decree that we are ready for battle, standing in the victory that Christ has already won. No weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every attack of the enemy is rendered powerless because we are clothed in Your divine protection.
We first take up the belt of truth. Ephesians 6 verse 14 says, "Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist." We decree that we are girded with Your truth today. Every lie of the enemy is exposed and dismantled by the truth of Your Word. We refuse to be deceived or led astray by the enemy’s schemes. Your truth surrounds us, guides us, and anchors us in every decision we make. We decree that we walk in the light of Your truth, knowing that it sets us free from every deception.
Next, we put on the breastplate of righteousness. Ephesians 6 verse 14 continues, "With the breastplate of righteousness in place." We decree that we are covered by the righteousness of Christ. Our hearts are protected from every attack, every accusation, and every condemnation that the enemy may try to throw our way. We stand firm in the righteousness that comes through faith in Jesus, knowing that our identity is secure in Him. No weapon of guilt or shame can penetrate the righteousness that covers us, and we walk in confidence, knowing that we are made righteous by the blood of Jesus.
We then put on the shoes of peace. Ephesians 6 verse 15 says, "And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace." We decree that we are ready to move forward today, walking in the peace that comes from the gospel. Every step we take is filled with divine purpose, and we are not shaken by chaos, confusion, or conflict. We decree that the peace of God goes before us, making every crooked path straight and guiding us through every challenge. We carry this peace with us, bringing it into every conversation, every situation, and every environment we enter.
We take up the shield of faith. Ephesians 6 verse 16 declares, "Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." We decree that every flaming arrow sent by the enemy is extinguished by the shield of faith. Fear, doubt, discouragement, and anxiety have no place in our hearts or minds because our faith in God’s promises is stronger than the enemy’s lies. We stand in unwavering faith, trusting that God is our protector, our provider, and our defender. We decree that no fiery dart will penetrate the shield of faith that surrounds us today.
We place the helmet of salvation upon our heads. Ephesians 6 verse 17 says, "Take the helmet of salvation." We decree that our minds are protected by the knowledge of our salvation in Christ. Every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God is brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. We reject every lie, every negative thought, and every accusation, choosing instead to focus on the truth of our salvation. Our minds are covered by the peace and assurance of our salvation, and we walk in the confidence of who we are in Christ.
Finally, we take up the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Ephesians 6 verse 17 continues, "And the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." We decree that today, we wield the sword of the Spirit with boldness and authority. We speak the Word of God over every situation, knowing that it is powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. Every attack of the enemy is countered with the truth of God’s Word, and we decree that no scheme or strategy of the enemy can stand against the power of Scripture. We declare that the Word of God is alive in us, guiding our steps, and empowering us to overcome every obstacle.
As we go forth today, we do so fully armored, prepared for whatever may come. We decree that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. No weapon formed against us will prosper, and we will stand victorious in every battle because we are covered by the armor of God.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
