महाराष्ट्रासह संपूर्ण देशात घरगुती गॅस, नैसर्गिक वायू आणि व्यावसायिक गॅस सिलेंडरचा तुटवडा जाणवू लागला आहे. पुढील काही दिवस युद्ध सुरु राहिल्यास ही परिस्थिती आणखी गंभीर स्वरुप धारण करु शकते. या पार्श्वभूमीवर केंद्र सरकारने एक महत्त्वाचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. गॅसचा तुटवडा जाणवू लागल्याने केंद्र सरकारने देशभरात एस्मा कायदा लागू केलाय... या कायद्यामुळे आता देशभरात आवश्यक वस्तूंची साठवणूक आणि काळा बाजार करण्यावर प्रतिबंध लागणार आहे. आखात देशांमध्ये सुरु असलेल्या युद्ध परिस्थितीच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर केंद्र सरकारने हा निर्णय घेतल्याचे समजते.

A shortage of domestic LPG, natural gas, and commercial cylinders is being reported across India, including Maharashtra. The situation is believed to be linked to the ongoing conflict in Gulf countries, which may affect energy supplies in the coming days.

In response, the central government has taken a major step by implementing the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) across the country. The move aims to prevent hoarding, artificial shortages, and black marketing of essential commodities, including LPG and natural gas.
